Jellyfish by Scentless

Old room, small disguise, impostor,
We sit all but silent, these are our hearts,
Have you ever thought how beautiful you are?
I’ve lost the weight of water flowing under you,
The waves’ soothing ripple, crush,
But I hate myself too much,

And somehow I feel closer to you here,

You said “this moment will be gone, how will you remember it in a perfect way?”
But there is nothing that I would change.
I won’t let this be just another lapse of sentimentality,
It’s not right,
It won’t change,

And I seem to always remember your face,
And somehow I feel closer to you here,
It’s all the little things,

The cold that settled in,
The bones we drew ourselves,
To be left alone,
We’re not dreaming of this space anymore,
Sometimes I don’t sleep, you know,
I still hear the water reaching the shore,
And so we drink,
To be left alone,
And our skin is growing old,
Sometimes the music just can’t be wrong,
Sometimes is all about the growing apart,
Lend me that hand of yours,
And I still hear you say “that was truly wonderful”,
Eternal night still wouldn’t be enough,

“The waves belong to us”
My poetically rumoured sayings,
You hold my souvenir in your lips,
And I’m just a cigarette, burning,

But somehow, I feel closer to you here
