Indifferent by Scentless

There’s a letter in the pages
That slowly burns my tongue,
And there’s a man who’s eating candles
So all the light will be gone…
And he catches his own shadow
So that he won’t be alone,
His voice is calling my attention,
But there’s only silence by the phone…

Spiral drifting into descent…
As I stare, indifferent…

And so I breathe into the fire
So that my will may grow strong!
And there’s a man in the bottom
Too down to sing along…
Lured out by the whispers,
Once screams that grew so dim,
Throw out all the pages
To get sort out by the wind…

Locked in prison, inner sin…
As I stare, indifferent…

Touch the envelope,
And bend it by your will,
Eyes became so distant
But opened still…
There’s a man leaving footsteps
So he may never disappear,
I’ve always wanted to get rescued
Far from here…

How much patience does it take?
As I stare, indifferent…

No one’s ever certain
Whose life will get saved?
I couldn’t recognize both men,
One’s just a letter in a page…

But the other died happy, in his way…
Because we all die for someone, someday…
